You say basketball and I already hear the crowd.

You say practice and I already see a hoop.

You say gym and I already hear the waxed floors.

You say “where's the foul!” and already I taste the salty refs.

You say dribble and already I feel the soft brown foam on the ball.

You say perseverance and already I find myself working late nights in the gym.

You say try it and already I find myself enjoying new things.
