Ode to My Bed

Every night you comfort me
with the warmth of your soul.
You greet me every morning
and every night.
Every morning when
I wake up to get ready
for school I feel the cool of your silky sheets.
When I come home from a
long exhausted day you are the first thing
I go to. You are the best
hangout out place when
my cousins or close friends come
over, especially when I’m feeling down.
Your comforter
is black with faded gold hearts,
On the other side it’s
black and white stripes.
I lay on you when I watch tv
or when I’m on my phone
