Pour the reactant
Watch it fizz
Nothing more to our thoughts than quick chemistry
Pour the reactant
Watch it fizz
So why does it hurt so much when I say
Pour the reactant
Watch it fizz
That I really can't do it another day
Pour the reactant
Watch it fizz
Watch it grow
Watch it fall
Watch its tendrils grow tall
Watch it love
Watch it hate
Watch me disassociate
Watch me value its life
In liters and grams
Watch it cringe and squirm
As it feels my hands
Watch it scream
Watch it wail
Watch its colors grow pale
As the rope
Takes its air
And my life,
As is fair.
