My Generation
This is the generation of looks
Not smarts and books,
Smallest waist, Prettiest face
I don’t fit in
Born in the wrong time
This is not my place
Too many standards,
Endless expectations
This is not for me
Drama fuels these hallways
Excuses and lies, pumping through veins
I am not like these people
I refuse to take part
We are truly a lost generation,
Unbelievably confused and hopelessly corrupt
Mindful of the past
Forgetful of the future
Take me to a simpler time
Without social media
a false sense of reality
Different perspectives, Greater Priorities
People with more personality
Talking instead of texting
Making connections without wires
Living in the moment
Our time is soon to expire
We are not our parents
Times have changed
This is my sad generation
We are desperate,
so much is left unexplained
