The sirens filled my head evening by evening
As I pondered if she was safe
If she was damaged
I pondered
I pondered
Anticipating her discovery
And hoping she was alright
I could hear her screams
As if she was right here with me
But alas
She felt miles
And miles
And miles
Away
“female abducted in a 2004 black Mazda”
Beep
“License plate number 7hby459”
Beep
Her fear filled my head
Beep
But that sense drifted
Further
And further
Away from me
