Ode to My Blanket
Every morning you embrace me,
Sometimes you’re on the floor being mad at me,
You’re like a rainbow on rainy sunny days,
Your cotton is like perfect clouds in the sky,
You make me feel comfort when I need it,
I had you since 2011,
I remember making chairs and tables out of you,
Playing with my teddy bears,
Your smile appears as you and I cry of laughter,
Joking about the way we would get when were older,
You make me warm on cold days,
You’re a warm sun,
You hug me tight around my body,
The water cans and fairies holding a magic wand spreaded out everywhere,
Your rainbow stripes are fading away now,
Your cotton disappearing,
You’re not the way you are anymore,
You’re not as hot as a sun,
Now you make me cold at night,
The fairies are sad with both you and me,
I remember taking you out of the dryer,
The scent of lavender coming out of you,
Your scent is still there but not your clouds of cotton,
I wish I can take you back the way you were but you’re no longer here
