The Death of Jesus
Whipped till I could barely stand,
Cold, sharp nails were driven into my feet and hands.
A crown of thorns, on my head, was placed.
Crimson blood trickled down my face,
Piercing straight through the skin and touching the bone.
On that cross I would cry out “Father, why have You left me alone?”
Yet at the people I came to save, I looked
Having compassion on them, one final breath I took.
As I shouted my final words "It is done!"
The battle for all of humanity was won!
But don't think this was my final end,
For on the third day, I would rise again.
Now I sit on the right hand of the Father,
My life was given as a ransom for others.
And even now I am preparing a place for you,
But My question is "Will you be in Heaven with me too?"
