Afternoon Snack
I got home, opened the fridge,
Grabbed some chicken strips,
And tossed them in the microwave,
When I pulled them out of the microwave,
A tiny hand, grabbed mine.
I screamed, and so did my chicken strip.
I ran, but it followed,
as my mom walked downstairs to ask what was wrong it climbed into my pocket.
I just continued to run to my room because there is no good way to tell your mom that you’re being chased by your afternoon snack.
