old me
i’ll never be myself again,
that ship has already sailed and passed over and over again,
life’s a lie,
everything about it makes you wanna die,
makes you wanna hide,
makes you wanna cry,
it makes you feel like nothing inside,
no one quite knows why we go through so much pain,
so much heartbreak,
so much envy,
so much loss,
eventually everything just looks so deranged,
will you ever be yourself again?
that’s the question that keeps replaying in my head,
i wish it was as simple as a yes or no,
but eventually you’ll find out or you may never know.
