Patience
To ruminate about a value such as patience,
A singular example stands out in the conscience,
The hunting deeds performed by Komodo dragons,
Validates the presence of extreme endurance within.
At first, it is only one poisonous bite inflicted on the victim,
Slowing them down, infecting them,
For weeks, the dragon watches as the energy is drained from their limbs,
Until at last, the desired prey is claimed.
Such an example provides us with a lot to learn,
To impart to us that patience is a virtue,
That the wait is worth the result we wish to earn,
It paint the colours of accomplishment, for us to pursue.
