The Bunker, Our Bunker
The Bunker walled on every side with concrete
Taking out time, walking down the steps.
The look on his face was sweet,
The boy look around the room and preps,
Questioning what he’ll do with all this treasure,
Crates and crates of so much food
This is where we will finally feel some pleasure -
Unlike the other house where everyone was nude.
Tomatoes, peaches, beans, apricots
The boy has to come down
We’re feeling free in space, call us astronauts.
Showing my boy the entire house, just walking around.
He has never seen anything like this,
But, I’m showing him that we will live.
This is just one step till it all fits
Barely any headroom for them to give
Holding my boy by hand.
“The richness of a vanished world”
So grateful for this wonderland
The first box was our dreamworld.
