Dear past self,
Why did you have to do that to yourself?
Create a cluster of bad habits that stick to you like ticks on a summer day.
Like when you are sad,
You run away from the people that want you to say
What is on your mind.
You isolate your pain and leave it in the back of your head.
You rather keep whatever you are thinking about in your source.
Then let your words be said.
It is okay to be vulnerable just for a second,
But the very thought of it makes you want to vomit.
So you tend to isolate yourself from getting help.
Pushing away all the people that you care about
Shutting yourself out from the real deal
Replacing it with some other person’s cry for help
Avoiding the issues that you have with yourself
That is not all
You created a defense that is so unhealthy
That when tend to fall
You don’t know who to call
You created a mindset that everyone you talk to doesn’t like you.
That the people that probably care about you the most,
Are the people who you think hates you and wish you were a ghost.
So dear past self,
I am over you
I am not going to stick to you like gorilla glue.
I will grow from what you have taught me.
And from that I am.
