Broken Legs
Crawling to you, in these fields
longing to be home.
Though, with these broken legs,
my arms still carry me just enough to roam.
Pull.
Pulling with all the strength I have left to get to you.
Turn back they say, turn back and run away.
It is not worth it, I mean "look at what they did to your legs."
Those loving eyes are worth all the pain,
carry me back and say my name.
Broken once more I have finally gotten to your door.
Can you hear my desperate knocks?
knock, knock, knock.
Please let me in, I won't run away.
Please let me in, please let me stay.
The wind blows the door open, then as it opens it closes shut.
Letting me in, but kicking me out.
My heart told me I should stay, but my brain tells me
Stay at bay
My heart jumps as I hear a shout.
My love, my life, I know it is them with no doubt.
I look up and am greeted with a knockout.
