Beneath the Surface

Can you see it?
Deep beneath the water’s surface
Lies the treasure of the world
That many have died for.
Can you see it?
The icy, hot glow coming from beneath the water,
That takes your soul and your desires down into the water
To drown you like the many before
Can you see it?
As you're gasping for breath, suffocating under the water’s surface
The riches that you have,
But your desires still want more.
