where im from
I am from grassy fields at the park
Swinging and rushing down slides
Hiding behind humongous trees and running
Tripping and falling on mulch
I am from clinging to my mother’s arm
Walking through the kindergarten classroom doors
Playing with blocks and coloring pictures
Simple times and lots of laughter
I am from slammed doors and arguments
Tears because of split family and new people
Separate holidays and birthdays
Time spent with different parents
I am from studying for tricky tests
Walking down the hallway with friends
Staying up late doing homework
Working very hard and sometimes failing
I am from waking up with the same daily routine
All my ways changed and lost friends
Either succeed or failing
Meeting new people and trying new things
