Mama told me,
“Learn from your mistakes”
I learned
The ugly truth
That some people don’t care
What they have to do or who they hurt
To get from “a” to “b”
I learned
Who my real friends are
Crying
Late at night
While others are plotting
The next lie they will tell
Or person they will hurt
Just because
They can
I learned
No matter who comes or goes
I will have one person by my side
Always
Jesus
I learned
Even if you do not move the
Mountains
I will trust in you
Through everything, I go through
I want to learn from it
All of it.
