Tears
My fists are clenching
My heart is wrenching
Trying to process,
What just happened
Hold it all in,
Hide your pain with a grin,
Just wait until you get home
Don’t show your weakness
In front of others,
They aren't here for you
They aren’t your lovers
I collapse to the floor,
And cover my face,
My body trembles,
“Just show your pain”
The tears threaten,
To spill from my eyes,
I bite my cheek,
And start to cry
I calm myself down,
And get up on my feet,
As I breathe, I start to say
“Everything will be okay”
