5 Years Too Late
Five years too late
Too young to hate
A world of blissfulness
Such young innocence
Practically robbed blind
Taken in ill time
Stolen of virtue
Soon, she felt it grew
Spring is coming
School is booming
Flowers, buds, and
Relationships blooming
The birds and the bees
The dirt on her knees
But what a bundle of joy,
A beautiful baby boy
Though she was left untold
Never knew what would unfold
18 years of future care
Left completely unprepared
All the secrets and lies
Created their disguise
Mom never worried
Dad never hurried
How was this fair?
Why should we care?
Children are maturing
Before they are learning
What can we do?
How can we help?
We’ll teach the youth!
We’ll preach the truth!
They need sexual education!
Not the misinformation.
