The House
My cozy house, you inspire me to write.
I love the way you’re there and living,
Protecting my sleep day and through the night,
Always dreaming about your giving.
Let me call you my closest friend
You are more modest, constant and happy.
Though storms whip, they come to an end,
And the kitchen bright, white and sappy.
Why do I need you? You have a way of amaze.
I love your plain chimney, couch and window.
Thinking of your vibrant charm fills my days.
Your warmth and laughter do nothing but grow.
Now I must leave with my heavy heart,
Remember my presence while we are apart
