Letting Go
You tell me now that you love me
 but I know that can't be true;
 for there is a side about me
 that no one ever knew.

 I've kept inside myself
 to keep from falling down;
 they can not sink me lower
 I'm already on the ground.

 You ask me if I love you
 but I do not like to lie;
 so every time you look at me
 I turn away and stay silent.

 There’s so much I should tell
 but fear shall hold me back;
 forever I'll be bitter
 as my heart is turning black.

 The time is coming fast
 and I've decided to let you know;
 that I do so love you
 which is why I'm letting go.
