Education struggles
Education gives us knowledge around the world to make us better people, and without education imagine how the world would be? Everyone has a different story to their education, some have viewed their outcomes as succeeding and others as failing. I interviewed two of my sister’s( Alicia and Aracely) and my mom (Arely) They’ve all had different stories and
experiences happen to them in their life, but I think the thing that affected them the most were their struggles.
“My biggest struggle was in the middle of 9th grade, I had lost all my friends, the one I trusted and saw as my family. They turned into my worst enemies and I did not want to go to school anymore. I was scared of they would say about me, I’m not a weak person but I knew that if one of them was to say something harmful I would want to do something. I wanted to concentrate in school but there was just so much in my head. One of my friends even wanted to fight me and we told the main office and all they did was tell her mom. Like how is that suppose to help? .”
“ Not to procrastinate and also this weird, communication class, anything that has to do with talking in front of the class. (She laughed in this part) Presenting, speeches for like 7 minutes about myself. That was a huge struggle.” Her eyes and tone widened.
“Hasta Octavo porque me tuve que venir acá, a los Estados Unidos y deje de estudiar, no tuve ayuda de ir a escuela” Until 8th grade I studied because I had to come here to the United States and I stopped learning, I had no one to help me go to school.
Alicia is the only one who talked good about her education throughout the interview and only she thought she succeeded. My mom didn’t continue her education and said she failed, my little sister is still in school and sees herself as a failure but all I think you have to do is try. 1 of them actually tried in school, the other one didn’t push herself to go back to school, the other one already thinks she’s failing when she has the chance to go on further . Nobody can win in education if they don’t try, we have to put our part if we want to win.
