The Lonely Tree
Lonely in the fall breeze
Where all the leaves
Fall off the tree
A quiet place to get away
For me and the tree are the only things to see
One small hill with clouds moving heavily and a tree
with bare limbs as cold as me
For I have never been the same since that day
The day that I realized it was the only happy place for me
Now I know I'm all alone
And the tree is the only thing I can call my own
With no one there for me when I moan and Groan
With no one there except my tree
Until finally I can call something else my own,
A grave for my soul
