I was forcing a smile

Because this was going to be a new star

And new opportunities

Would be waiting for me

In a new land full of wonders

Hopefully my future

Would be better

But, at the same time

I was heart broken

For a person that i love

Would have to stay behind

That killed me inside

Like a stab in the heart

The day arrived

We had to say goodbye to each other

I must say that the goodbye

Was the hardest thing i have ever done

In all my life

At the flight

I looked over to the window

And saw the beautiful sky

It was like a beautiful view,

That remembered me of him

Remember that he risked staying behind

Just to give me a better life

And hopefully a better future

That proved how much he loved me

So tears started to fall from my eyes

And even with so much pain

Because he knew he would have to stay alone

He still tried to fake a smile for me

That night

As i looked at the sky

Through the airplane’s little window

I made a promise to myself

That i would make him proud

For he is suffering a lot for me

Yes,

I do believe that one day

He will be here

By my side

And we will walk the rest of the road together

Just like the old days

For i pray

And have faith in who i believe

And i know what he is capable of
