Freedom
“Freedom cannot be given… it can only been taken away.”
-David Allen Coe
Is freedom ever real?
Trapped in your mind, in your home, your country.
In this world, that could so easily become dystopian.
Countries warring, with no real reason.
People picking fights, deciding to commit crimes.
People, forced into slavery, their minimal rights, torn away.
People losing everything for the sake of some old paper,
That’s considered to have value.
People harming others, who, on the outside pretend they love.
People neglecting their animals,
Who know nothing but the fact that they love them.
The world’s come far from how it once was,
Maybe that’s not a good thing.
