I wish I had said how I was feeling, when I was left alone, when the wind was seeping through my window, when everything was silent and cold.I wish she had said what was about to happen,she would fall cold and alone into a sleep that would never see the light of day. I wish I had said “I love you” one last time before she passed, before my life would change forever. I wish I had said yes to one last walk. I wish I had said I would mow the lawn one last time. I wish things would get easier but they are just getting harder. I wish she could still run and play with me in the fields of fresh cut grass. I wish the world was simple, full of laughter and family but its not. I wish I had said goodbye.
