All Alone
All alone I wander
looking for a light
looking for a reason
to put up a fight
All alone I wander
shoulders heavy eyes closed
looking for an escape
to this life which I'm enclosed
All alone I wander
there seems to be no end in sight
it's only getting worse and worse
so when day closes to night
All alone I lay in bed
dark thoughts forming in my head
pray the Lord my soul to keep
for when they find me I'll be dead

Many people turn to self-harm or even suicide as a way to cope with this overwhelming feeling of depression they may feel. They feel as if no one is there for them , as if no one cares. They want to get better but don't know how. If we treat each other with the kindness and respect each human being deserves we can let these people who feel all alone know that there is someone there who cares for them and values them. Being there for other people and simply listening to them and being a trustworthy person they can turn to can make them feel like they matter and help they realize that they are not in fact, all alone.
