Don't forget to Love again

Would you love another?
Would you love me like the sun and the moon?
I never believed in the captivity in marriage or love itself
As the thought of love made me cringe
As love was just a faded memory that never lasted
A memory that tore people
Piece by piece until they no longer felt satisfied
Love was a disaster of pain, weakness, and disappointment.
But how could you love?
How could you love when all it brought was sadness and pain.
Pain that tugs the heart ever so lightly
With pain that fills your head
And all you would want to do is cry
But don't forget to only cry so little
And let me remind you that love is like a flower
So tender and sweet
As it has brought happiness and joy into your life.
As you have traveled far and wide with memories you never thought you would gain
With emotions, you never want to let go
But you will let go.
Once you do
You would never want to love again
But with trust that beholds me
Love again
Love not the faded memories but the joy of the person company
Love how the sun loves the moon
Love with a passionate heart
But don't forget that love itself is like a cookie
So kind but so delicate
Love again
