Tick tock I’m on the clock

And I’m feeling like this job is four to ten-ing my life away

It’s like I’m back at school

And I’m in the last class

Just passing time until the bell rings

Having visions of graduation

Wait a minute now, that’s just later today

Tan legs and tailgating, it’s all up in the moonlight

And by the way, it’s payday

Now I’m back at school for the last time

When I feel that chill, smell the fresh cut grass

I’m back in my helmet, cleats, and shoulder pads

Standing in the huddle

Listening to the call

Fans going crazy for the boys of fall

Well it’s time to face the stars and stripes

It’s fighting back all the nerves

We're the boys of fall

Two teenagers fall in love during winter

But things happen and they wished

They could go back to December

Who thought graduating early would turn this way

Not me, not today

Now it’s a high school prom

It’s a Springsteen song, it’s a ride in a Chevrolet

It’s a man on the moon

And fireflies of June

And kids selling lemonade

It’s cities and farms, it’s open arms

It’s one nation under God

It’s America
