Broken Puzzle
My family is
A broken puzzle.
My siblings,
The box,
Protecting the pieces
But, easy to be pulled apart.
My Nana,
The young child,
Unable to see the beauty in each piece,
Changing each one to her liking.
My mom,
The lost piece,
Lying on the floor,
Unnoticed and lonely.
Me,
The broken pieces,
Torn,
Changed,
Broken,
Discarded in the trash,
Only because no one could see the beauty before.
My family,
The broken puzzle,
We may be broken,
Unable to be put back together,
But none of this matters because we see the beauty in each other.
