I lived
They lost
A memory goes on
Tragedy strikes
They remember
Buildings were burned
While people were crying
The memory goes on
Brought together through grief
Sadness is what it took
To make america stand as one
Nine-Eleven is the memory
It brought character
It took life
And yet
Our battle still isn't won
