I open my eyes and see faces looking down
They step out of their circle and allow me to look around
We are on a vast, beautiful island, but there are no adults to be found
We decide we must work, not alone but together

Many days and nights pass, even months fly past
I see them separating, painting their faces to kill a pig at long last
But this is not good, no good at all you see, this awakened the beast, he is set free
We all are scared, but we know we can cry together

The beast roams the island striking fear in our days
We all work to fight back, spears and face paint, just like the pig
The island becomes a chase, a mess, a massacre, a great big mess of fear and death
Why are we no longer together?

Many of us are starving, scared, dying
Separate groups have arisen, separate ideas, separate ideals
The beast is still on the move, still being hunted, still being chased along the shore
To bring him down we must come together

Nobody worries anymore, nobody even cares
They just want to stop the terror in the air but only together can we see,
If you peel back your face you can finally see that all along, the beast was only just you and me
And only together can we finally be set free.
