Almost Out of Fight
Her words were a hopeless river,
Each one a broken drop,
They flowed to you with practiced ease
And never seemed to stop.
You wanted to dispute her,
With bad outweighed by good,
But the more you pulled the faster she sank,
And you knew you never could.
You searched to find an answer,
That perfect final push,
You tried to be her life vest but-
All roads lead to ambush.
You know she has a someday,
A tomorrow burning bright,
But time is ticking quickly and--
She's running out of fight.
