Am I the straight A student?
Am I the girl with real friends?
Am I the girl who seems composed?
Am I the girl who knows everyone?
Am I the girl with the perfect life?
Or am I the girl who always sorrows?
Am I the girl who is depressed?
Am I the girl who cries herself to sleep at night?
Am I the girl who feels excluded?
Am I the girl who aches for life to end?
On the surface, I am one girl,
On the inside, another.
A carefully cultivated façade,
Disguising the anguish within.
Deep down,
Who am I?
