I remember once, on a pilgrimage
to the world’s center, a day where Sultans and Emperors
from far away lands came together.

In the hand of many
a soft quill prints
on the rough parchment.

The one we call honorable rose
between
the divided sides.

A single
breath escapes all
the souls.

Men like beasts
attack
the honorable one.

And who receives
glory in my place?

I weep and
think of my
crushed dream.
