My Happiness

My happiness does not depend
On those who are around me.
My happiness does not depend
On material possessions.
My happiness cannot be influenced
By those who seem to hate me,
But by the way I live my life.
I am in charge of my own happiness.
I can be happy if I really want to be.
If I am happy,
The sun is always shining,
Whether it’s raining or it’s not.
