It's not what we do; it's who we are
OUTSIDE
Are some kids making jokes about
“Grand pas” and “allregrettos”
Wearing concert black
Carrying hollowed metal and paper with
Dots and lines on it
INSIDE
Are the pieces of our souls being put together
Our heartstrings connecting to lines on slurs and ties
Minds transferring to alternate realities
Where harmonies flow through us
And melodies pull us through them
