The screen front door is open wide

The shoes cast off

The backpacks piled

“We need some food!” The voices cry

Out come the frozen dumplings

You won’t be at the sink for days

Washing big pots

Or dirty trays

For all you need is a microwave

When making frozen dumplings

To feed the hoards, you must be quick

No time to waste

The clock, it ticks!

But a mere minute twenty six

Is all it takes for dumplings

The pickiest eaters are satisfied

With chicken, shrimp

And veggies fried

Every mouth will open wide

For a scrumptious frozen dumpling

In tense impatience we all wait

To hear the ding

And see the plate

Then to devour we don’t hesitate

The steaming, savory dumplings
