Bright beyond belief,
Moving billboards and light that stuns the birds out of the sky
And blocks the stars from view.
Walking on those streets
You avoid the street performers
In American flag underwear
And a rhinestone cowboy hat
As they sing Bruce Springsteen songs,
And get in your face and yell,
“Welcome to New York!”
While the girl down the street dressed as the Statue of Liberty
Poses with tourists for five-dollar pictures.
