THE CATHEDRAL OF BASEBALL: THE STADIUM: THE HEART OF NEW YORK: THE YANKEES
THE CATHEDRAL OF BASEBALL: THE STADIUM: THE HEART OF NEW YORK: THE YANKEES
 April 18, 1923- September 21, 2008

 85 years:
Of memories that will never be dared to be forgotten
Of the pride that represented what we stood for
The heroes that gave us all they’ve got, day in and day out,
the blood, sweat and tears, even behind stadium doors

 85 years:
Of Pinstripes at their greatest, the interlocking N,Y known worldwide
From The Babe’s first homerun at the stadium, to Molina’s last
We will always remember what we can’t forget-
The hits kept on coming till a new leader emerged; Jeter’s 1274th erased Gehrig’s past

 85 years:
Records set are meant to be broken-from homeruns, to all-time saves, from games played, to the hits and streaks
A-Rod’s incredible season; with the walk-offs, homeruns, clutch moments, the MVP
Monument Park; the home to all the Legends and Hall-of-Famers; the first Yankees
So many cameras flashing, to capture the once in a lifetime moments, for all to see

 85 years:
26 World Champions won out of the 39 played
From Yogi’s unprecedented 10 World Series Rings
13 straight seasons of going to the post season
The awaited 7th inning stretch where Kate Smith’s God Bless America they all sing

 85 years:
No game is guaranteed until the last strike of the last out
The stadium shakes in its cores
We know its never over until the Fat Lady sings
To the die hard fans roaring for more

 85 years:
Of the lights, cameras and the awaited action
From the “House that Ruth Built” to the one “that Jeter closed”
There will always be ONE stadium
Where “THE HOUSE BECAME A HOME”
