The biggest influence in my life, the one who has been there for  me since the day I entered this world. Light blue eyes that look at me look as if he cares about me so much. The seriousness and intent they turn into if a situation occurs in our lives or someone else's. How quickly the glowing can change if someone is in need, or the eagerness to learn more if someone teaches him. All his emotion shines through his eyes as if they are windows showing the weather outside. Every so often shades are put over them to block his feelings, and no one is allowed to see in. At that point, the shades not only block his feelings but also block our relationship. We drift apart as if we are in separate boats on a windy sea. The connection is lost until it is a sunny day again, and then the relationship and trust are built back up. The time we spend together lasts a lifetime, all the places we discover and explore around the world. Whether it is the icey snow capped mountains of New England, downtown Boston, or the Alaskan tundra, we always find the greatest places to take in what a beautiful world we have. The sound of his skis as they carve into the frosted snow and the wave of powder that flies over mine as he comes to a quick stop before me. His love for skiing has created my passion. Encouragement flooded me as I grew up and was learning the sport. There was a period of time that I was losing interest in his favorite sport, but once again he was not going to let that happen. It is an activity that we can bond over and love together as we spend hours in the car heading for the snow. There will never be anyone to replace the relationship my brother and I have. He knows more about me than I know about myself. He is my favorite, my brother, my best friend, my exploring partner. All the best qualities an older brother should have. He is the definition of a hipster millennial who wants to live his life through experiences and exploration of the world. The smile of excitement he has as we walk into a store to shop for clothes is something only we siblings can bond over. His eyes though tell me everything I ever need to know. We sit in his room the late hours of the night talking like old ladies, never running out of things to say. We make sure these nights happen every time he is home. The flow of words that come out of our mouths, story after story until the tiredness in his eyes shine through the shades that try to block it. And then finally, we leave until the next day when it all starts over. Our relationship builds up everyday as if we are climbing a mountain each day and by night, we finally reach the top. They glimmer and shine with a dullness when he has to leave again for school, or another trip. The house becomes quiet and stillness takes over as if I have lost a part of me from within. He is is the one person who has been with me since I entered this world. His eyes tell me everything, whether it is a judgemental look when music is being played or the worried look he has when he wants me to succeed. The blueness of his eyes that sometimes frost over or the deep glittering shows his personality on a different level. Even from our childhood years, the pictures we have of us describe our relationship without words. But instead two sibling that truly want to be sitting next to each other, while smiling with true happiness. Nothing is fake between us, and others know this. Whether it is them experiencing us hanging out or seeing us in pictures, people know we are close. My mom says we will stay close forever, and she wants that so that day when her and my dad are gone, we will have each other. Nothing means more in this world than him, and our sibling bond that will last forever.
