I cannot quite remember which one of my friends said this to me, but I do remember what they said. They said, “What if a reflection is just a different universe?” The thought had never crossed my mind and the more I think about the idea the clearer it becomes. We can not possibly be alone. I do not know if the other universe is controlled by God, has something to do with deja vu, or if it is one of the universe’s many mysteries we will never fully understand. All I know is that many people will disagree. They will say it is impossible because science hasn’t proved that it is indeed a fact. For these people I feel sorry. There is so much they will never discover because they do not have the ability to think past the facts.

I believe that we all have a place in this world. We may not know what our place is, but that should not mean we do not try to discover them. Maybe you are supposed to be a teacher,a political leader, an actor, a writer, or a Nobel Peace Prize winner. Even if you do not accomplish your goals the one thing you will have done is made yourself be remembered. It is how you are remembered  that is important. Be remembered for the laughs you shared with people and the impact you had on them. I feel like in order to do this you have to know yourself before you can let other people know you. I know that I still am figuring out myself, but I do know what makes me happy and I always hold that close.

Yes, the idea I have presented sounds a little crazy, but isn’t that what taking a chance is about? Being brave enough to say what you think and give your honest opinion. Sadly, in this world there are people who are so closed minded they do not even dream of taking that extra step and seeing what amazing adventure they will go on. There is still so much we will never know and even though we may never find out what it is that fear should not stop us from seeking out the knowledge.

First,  people will argue that it is completely impossible and ridiculous. They will say that there is no way Deja Vu has anything to do with it. The definition of Deja Vu is having a feeling that you have already experienced a present experience. Okay, so it is similar to a memory I understand that, but what if Deja Vu is the same event happening somewhere else. What if the somewhere else is a different universe?

Second, people will argue that God has created everything. Now I am not saying that I do not believe this. I say this because the fact of the matter is that God has created the whole world for our exploring. I feel like even the impossible is possible if you just take the time to think of all the possibilities. Maybe God has wanted us to not be able to see something and still believe in it. An example of this is the wind, sound, and air. We can not see them but we can feel and hear these things. Is that not the same as him? We can not see the actual and human form of him. Or perhaps we have, but not in this lifetime. Instead, we see signs he gives us. Perhaps the signs he gives us for these different universes are found in the reflections.

Finally, I would like to talk about Earth’s many mysteries. For the longest time we thought the Earth was flat and the Sun orbits the Solar system. Aristotle thought that the Earth was spherical and Copernicus said that the Earth orbits around the Sun. These people had to take a chance because they had an idea and no one believed them.

Empathy is the opposite of that. Empathy is believing or relating to the ideas or situation of another. Empathy means understanding what someone is going through and knowing what it feels like. I am empathetic towards the people that do not agree with my idea because sometimes I find myself questioning things.

Here is my question for everyone: Who am I to judge if I have not been in the same situation before? Who am I to tell you how to live your life? The thing about being Empathetic is not found in the disagreement with another's ideas, but in the act of trying to understand the other's ideas. If you try to understand at least you can see where they are coming from, but if you completely disregard them you will have denied yourself the opportunity to understand another through their own eyes.
