What are traits of a good friend? Some traits include loyalty, acceptance, and help. True friends are there when needed and will crack a smile to others. In a good friendship, friends will be accepting and loyal. Having a friend is important.

Loyalty is a pure trait in a friendship. It can gain trust and trust is important. Faithfulness is being there when needed and not betrayal. In J.J. Watt’s video and Suryia and Roscoe’s book, the characters were loyal to each other. J.J. Watt was very loyal to the children. He stayed with the kids a lot and went to the boy’s basketball game. Roscoe was loyal to Suryia. When Suryia had to leave and go back to the preserve, Roscoe followed her.
Acceptance is a good trait in a friendship. In a good friendship, people accept others for who they are. In J.J. Watt’s video, the kids accepted the fact that J.J. Watt was a celebrity, wealthy, and different from themselves; J.J. Watt did the same. Roscoe, Suryia, and Bubbles were different creatures, yet they accepted that and were still friends.

Helping others is good in a friendship. In a true friendship, people help others when help is needed. In the Coca-Cola video, friends helped each other to get a coke. J.J. Watt helped the kids and was there for them when they needed a friend. Suryia assisted Roscoe when he went on walks and Roscoe encouraged Suryia to swim. Also, Suryia and Bubbles helped Roscoe when he was alone.

In conclusion, having a friend is essential in life. J.J. Watt, Suryia, Roscoe, and the people in the Coca-Cola video had friends that helped them and in return, their friends helped them. Without J.J. Watt, the children’s lives would be worse. Always help friends- they are important.
