Wisest Man I Know

When I think of the word legacy, I think footprint. Lots of people in my life have a well known legacy. Not all these legacies impact me/ my life. My dad, John’s legacy does. His wisdom guides me through...everything I do.

“I don’t really care what other people think my legacy is, if I look back and have done what I think my calling is, it doesn’t matter. I’m not living my life for other people, I’m living my life for god.”- Dadda

His wisdom has not only shown me what the right thing to do is, but he persuades me to do the right thing. “He taught me not to rush into things, to step back and look at the big picture”. When you step back, look at the picture, it can be easier to handle the situation. When you have handled a situation for a long time, you might need to take a break. “You need to take a break, if you take care of yourself, caring for other people will be a lot easier.”- Dadda

I think my dad is the wisest person in the world. His job also says a lot about his legacy. He counsels families, trains future chaplains, all kinds of hospice care, and preaches every sunday. That job takes a lot of work, time and energy. All of the things he does requires wisdom. It's not just something that you can learn in a book.
