My Worst Enemy
There’s always that one girl that gets on your nerves all the time, right? At my school there is. She’s the worst and she gets on my last nerve every day. I’m not saying her name so let’s just call her Swag. There have been rumors going on about me ever since she got here. They somehow always come back to her starting them. It’s always something like, “I’m dating this guy, or I like this person.” No matter how hard I try to stop it, it’s never going to go away.
Swag always tries to make everyone feel sorry for her. At our track meet she was flirting with someone else’s boyfriend, which is not right. She told everyone that it was a rumor and she always gets put in the middle of it. This of course, was wrong because everyone basically saw her flirting. She thinks everyone has to like her. Basically our whole class hates her. She is stuck up, snobby, and always thinks she can get what she wants.
I’ve tried so hard to get her to like me, but time and time again she pushes me away and starts the rumors again. When I question Swag she denies everything and starts crying. She rambles on between sobs complaining how nobody likes her and she just wants people to accept her. I’m just sitting there like, “Who do you think is actually going to believe you?”
I’ve let all of this go and just ignore her all the time. If she tries to talk to me I walk off and pretend like nothing happened just so she won’t go talking crap behind my back. At first I thought she was trying to steal my best friend, which she was. But it turns out my best friend doesn’t like her either, and thinks the same way about her like I do.
Anyway, I don’t let her bother me anymore. She is still my worst enemy, but you know what they say. “Keep your friends close but your enemies closer.”
