6th Grade Science Fair
One of my most memorable school years was my sixth grade school year. It was one of my most memorable years because that was one of my most easiest schools years that I had because my teachers were really nice and because they assigned little to no homework and we mostly played outdoors, the most memorable part of the school year was my science fair project that I did with one of my friends.
My science fair project in sixth grade was really fun or amazing because I did my project with one of my best friends. Our science fair project was on testing if electricity traveled faster in a straight wire or a zigzag wire. We hooked up the two different wire lines to a light bulb and used a high speed camera to see which light bulb turned on first.
When we first were getting ready to do the tests we had run into a bump or two. For example when we tried the wiring the bulb and the switch we had no idea what we were doing so we had to find someone who could help us. After two weeks my friend's dad had a friend who was happy to help us. When he was done in about half an hour we set up our camera and got ready to test which wire was faster.
After we got done capturing the videos we looked at all the tests and we found out that the electricity traveled at the same speed in straight positioned wire as the zigzagged wire position. We knew this was going happen but we wanted to test it anyway because as most people know is that if you walk in a straight line it is faster than to walk in a zigzag.
My friend and I had a lot of fun doing this project, we did not win a place but we did not care that much because we did the project to hang out and have fun. Even though the judges did not give us a place my teacher said we had one of the project.
