I went on a vacation to Cancun, Mexico with my family. We flew to Minneapolis to get on a plane to Mexico. The plane ride was extremely long. But when we got their everything was different. The surroundings, the people, nothing was the same. We had a to do a lot of paperwork at the airport to do that was abiding. Eventually we got out of the airport, and took a bus to our hotel which was incredible. When we walked in it was amazing. It had a huge water fountain that was stunning. It had a pool along the beach, a kids water park, many restaurants, and a basketball court on the roof. It took us awhile to check in but after that we got something to eat and went to the beach.

We ate breakfast , went around the hotel, my mom sister and dad went running, and my brother and I played basketball on the roof. The basketball hoops were actually disappointing because the backboard was about fifteen inches wide. We ate lunch consisting of “hamburgers” but I don’t believe there was even beef in it, the hamburgers were awful. We went to the beach again. They had an entertainment guy there, we played dodgeball with a bunch of other kids. We ate supper and just hung out for the rest of the night.

My family and I went on a catamaran to an island. We got on the boat and we had a lot of fun. When we arrived we got to see a shark in a cage of wooden spokes around it, me and my brother got in the water with it and it felt rough and like sand paper. We went to eat the food and it was extremely good. After we ate we went snorkeling. It was stunning there were a lot of fish and coral.

We went back my brother got sick and he threw up off the side of the boat. We were promised that we were going parasailing but they did not have the right equipment so they put together a perfunctory one with a bunch of ropes tied together with a parachute on top. So I went and I was just sitting on a rope and lifted up into the air, but the rope was tangled around my knee. But I was thankfully able to get it untangled in the water, if I didn’t I would have been hanging upside down underwater.

We got on a bus it was a long ride. We then went to this Mayan temple it was enjoyable to see but it wasn’t what I expected I thought it was going to be bigger. After that we went to this water park with zip lines, restaurants, snorkeling, and other really fun things. We saw iguanas and we spent most of the day their. We went back to the hotel for our last night.

Our trip was now over, we woke up in the morning and went to the airport. When we got home we had a lot of unpacking to do it took me a while. But it was worth it because I had a wonderful time.
