A Night to Remember
October 27, 2008. I dressed in my layers of warm clothes with Phillies gear on top. I put on my snow hat on and headed to Citizens Bank Park with my Dad, brother, and sister. And right as I walked into the stadium, I could feel the atmosphere that it was Game five of the World Series. Tonight, the Phillies could win the trophy for the first time since 1980. The fans were going crazy before the game even started. Soon after we sat in our seats and the game began, it started to pour rain and the remaining innings of the game were postponed. I can remember being so angry. I knew that the last few innings were going to be amazing, but I would have to wait two more days for the excitement. The two days waiting for the game to resume felt like twenty days.
October 29, 2008. This was the night that will never leave my memory. I dressed in warm clothes and phillies gear once again. This time when I arrived at the stadium, fans were going even crazier and it felt like Game 5 for sure. From the start of the game, it was a nail biter and I was on the edge of my seat the whole game. In the end, the Phillies delivered and won the game. They were World Champions! I stayed down at the ballpark for about an hour more after the game to celebrate. All the players came out and thanked all the fans for going to the game. This was the best night of my life, a night to remember forever. Two days later, there was a parade on Broad Street for the Phillies. My parents let me skip school and go to the parade with them. While watching all the players go by, I could not get the memory of that game out of my head. This is a memory that I will share with a lot of people, it will never be forgotten.
