"be who you want to be, not what others want to see"

We all want nice and clean environments to live in, so why not help and give your all to make it happen? To make my community a better place you must be interested in community service and volunteering in many work places. Teenagers can help with neighborhood Enhancement, special needs like volunteering at local cares. They can help senior citizens, the homeless/hungry, help at local animal shelters, and clean up the environment as well. Volunteering has changed me in many different ways. In my opinion helping with community service makes you a better person. You learn the good, the bad and the ugly about many work places. You learn how the work is done and how everything else works around there in that certain work place. For example, I myself volunteer at a medical facility in Flint, Michigan called Hurley. I volunteer there because I really want to be involved at a local in the medical field as a major when I graduate this year from high school. See the thing is that when starting to volunteer at a local facility you learn so much. You learn about different people, help them, and talk to patients who don’t have families and many other amazing experiences. Volunteering at Hurley has taught me to decide whether I want to be part of the medial field or not. Helping around there has really changed me and my attitude as a person. Because I help those with disabilities with so many things I can do myself without any difficulty. But the sad part about it is that there are so many patients at Hurley that can’t even get up and use the bathroom without help or eat without someone feeding them. That why people like me are needed, people like teenagers who can take an hour out of their busy agendas and go help someone who is need of help. It can be any kind of community service, trust me it will change you and your judgments towards others. Community service helps you become a better human being inside and out. You learn a lot, you’ll be grateful for what have in this life by seeing different struggles, and different experiences out there.

So, by helping to make your environment a better place, it’s for you, not for anyone else just remember that you get what you give. The volunteering world has changed me so much words I can’t describe it. I’ve learn that it is not a waste of my time and that it makes the world a better place for you and for me.
