Confidence
For once, just this one time, I felt so confident as to what I was wearing and the way I looked. I even did my make-up all nice with clean, blue eyeliner and bright, red lipstick. I honestly felt great.
Until someone decided to comment.
"What's that on your chin?" He asked, squinting to see.
I knew I had a pimple there, even with make-up on, its redness shone through.
"You have a pimple." He told me.
"I do?" I asked sarcastically.
"Yeah, it's on your chin." He told me once agin, not picking up on my sarcasm.
"Does it bother you?" I asked gritting my teeth and trying not to snap at him.
"Uh, no, I guess not.." He trailed off.
"Great, now shut your trap." I told him.
"I didn't mean to-"
But I cut him off, " You didn't mean to what? Were you going to say that you didn't mean to offend me? Because I feel pretty offended. Is that what you were going to say? Don't say you didn't mean to because it came out of your mouth, so you obviously meant to," I blinked tears back before continuing, "My confidence was so high before you decided to comment on the only little thing that made me not want to go out today. thanks for that, you jerk."
"Oh come on! I really didn't mean to hurt your feelings! I was just pointing out what I saw." He said.
"You tell me my flaws as if I don't know them already." I quoted and walked away, once again blinking back tears.
