Music is my life. If I didn’t have music I’m not sure if id be happy. It’s the number one thing in my world. There’s not a single boring morning when I come to band. And there’s always something to do to improve as a musician. Its tough to think about but whenever you hear someone new play drums I try to take a little from it. After observing enough drummers and taking the best from all of them you can construct a unique or advanced playing style. Everything from fills to just the beat I focus on watching others and seeing what they do. A great way to see others is through YouTube. I’ve spent many many hours just sitting there on the computer watching different drummers playing different songs and comparing there styles to my own and others. Its funny how you can watch three or four different drummers all play the same song and see so many differences between them. Some like to just play the bare minimum some show off the entire song and play way too much while others like myself like to sit back relax and just groove with the music. I hope when im older Music is a key component in my life.
